The Alaska Surveying and Mapping Conference, Inc. organization (ASMC) was formed to plan, promote, and manage conferences, general meetings, and clinics, promoting the educational aspects, betterment, dissemination of information and knowledge of the tenants and disciplines relating to the practices of surveying, mapping, photogrammetry, GIS and allied fields of expertise, conjunctively or separately, and such meetings of any other similar organizations or associations; To administer a professional conference every year; To advance the professional, social, and technical interests of land surveyors, mappers, photogrammetrists, and GIS practitioners;To improve public relations and to cultivate public appreciation of the work of land surveyors, mappers, photogrammetrists, and GIS practitioners; and To foster the advancement of the public welfare.

 

The Alaska Surveying and Mapping Conference is proudly hosted by the Alaska Section, Alaska Society of Professional Land Surveyors (ASPLS), the Alaska Region of the American Society for Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing (ASPRS), the Alaska Chapter of the Urban & Regional Information Systems Association (URISA) and co-sponsors, the Alaska Arc Users Group (AAUG) and UAA Geomatics Student Association (GSA).
